My wife and I are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel of this journey to pay off all our debt that we embarked on a few years ago. Recently though we have come across a few rough patches. I have lost my job and twice we have had some fraudulent activity occur in our bank account. And not just any bank account, but the bank account we use to pay all our bills.
Have you ever been so close to accomplishing something and then all of a sudden a few barriers pop up in your life? You’re so close you can taste it. Why do these road blocks seem to appear when we are so close to the finish line?
These barriers that pop up in life are not road blocks but they are road signs pointing towards a breakthrough. Your greatest opposition in life always takes place before your greatest opportunity. The biggest barriers in life are hope that your breakthrough is on the horizon.
The Israelites had to cross the Jordan River during the time it was raging the most before they could enter the Promise Land. Joseph had to go through prison before he became the prince of Egypt. David had to defeat Goliath before he was king. Even Jesus had to endure the cross before the ressurection.
So next time you come across a rough patch in your life don’t look at it as a barrier but look at it as a sign that your breakthrough is on the horizon. Don’t quit. You’ve come way to far to give up now.
