Our culture has slowly gravitated more and more toward equality. We live in a world where everyone gets a trophy for participating, everyone wants equal pay for not equal work, and everyone wants everyone to have the same house, the same car, the same clothes, and the same bank account.
That would be nice in a perfect world where everyone lives inside a bubble but reality looks a whole lot different. Reality is what Galatians 6:7 says “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.”
You see if you want something in life, you have to work for it. It just doesn’t fall out of the sky into your lap. It’s the law of sowing and reaping. Now this law doesn’t make much sense to us in our culture today because the majority of us didn’t grow up or live on a farm. But in laymens terms, the law of sowing and reaping says that what you put in coincides with what you get out. In other words the results you get in life reflect on what you put into life.
So this whole equality line of thinking, in all reality, just doesn’t work. You can’t expect to get the same out of life that someone else got if you’re not willing to put into life what they did. It’s a simple math equation: inputs = outputs. Equality is not fair.
So the next time you are complaining about equality, just think about what you’ve put into life and maybe that will help you further understand exactly why you’re getting the results your getting.
