Born This Way

Famous writer, Mark Twain, said “The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” In other words you were created for something. You were born the way you are, with the distinct characteristics and talents that you have, for a specific purpose. You were put on this earth for a reason. There is no mistake for you being here. You are not an accident.

The apostle Paul, when describing the reason why we are here, wrote “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10) You are a masterpiece. There is no one else like you. No one else can do what God has purposed for you to do. The psalmist David thousands of years earlier wrote “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:14) You were handcrafted by the Creator of the universe. You were breathed into the earth by your Maker so that you could breathe out your Maker’s plan.

You were created on purpose, with a purpose, for a purpose. God placed something in you so that He could birth something through you. You were born this way, talk this way, walk this way, for this very reason. So quit trying to be anyone but you. Cause no one can do you better than you can do you. There is no one else.
