Shine Bright Like A Diamond

Day 4: This world is fading away along with everything it craves but if you do the will of God you will live forever.

The reason why a diamond is more costly than any other stone is because of the way it shines. It’s luster never fades. It’s beauty is beyond comparison. Although sometimes it may get dirty and need to be cleaned, it’s worth lasts forever.

Just like a diamond, those who are in Christ Jesus will never fade away. At times, they may get dirty and need to be cleaned, but their worth will last forever. John writes about this in his first letter in the second chapter when he pens:

And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. (I John 2:17 NKJV)

Everything this world has to offer you will lose it’s worth and soon fade away, but the Word of God stands forever. In fact, three separate times Jesus is recorded saying “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (See Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, and Luke 21:33)

This past Sunday I heard Perry Noble say “You can’t know the will of God if you don’t know the Word of God.” So do you want to live forever? Do you want to have a worth that will last? Do you want a luster that won’t fade away? Then know the Word of God so that you can know the will of God. Dive into the Word of God in order that you do the will of God. Then you will shine bright like a diamond.

  1. Hey would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m planning to start
my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S Apologies for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
