Day 2: I am your Creator. You were in my core even before you were born.
God knew you before you were even born. You are His workmanship. You are His masterpiece. You are not an after thought. You are not an accident. As Perry Noble says “You were created on purpose, with a purpose, for a purpose.” Listen to what Job says:
Did not He who made me in the womb make him? And did not One fashion us in the womb? (Job 31:15 ESV)
Later David writes:
On you was I cast from my birth, and from my mother’s womb you have been my God. (Psalms 22:10 ESV)
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. (Psalms 139:13-16 ESV)
And after David writes that, Isaiah comes along and writes:
The Lord has called Me from the womb; From the matrix of My mother He has made mention of My name. And now the Lord says, Who formed Me from the womb to be His Servant. (Isaiah 49:1, 5 NKJV)
And if all those verses weren’t enough, the prophet Jeremiah writes:
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. (Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV)
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV)
Look at the language these men use “fashion, knitted, fearfully, wonderfully, intricately, called, formed, sanctified, ordained, thoughts of peace, a future, and a hope.” Does that sound like an after thought to you? Does that make it seem like you are an accident? No! You are precious. You are priceless. God knew exactly what He was doing when He created you. He doesn’t make mistakes. He doesn’t mess up. Be encouraged. Hold your head high. You are a son or daughter of the Most High God. You are no accident.
