One For All

One of the groups of heroes I loved to watch growing up was the Three Musketeers. If you have ever watched or heard of them, you know their signature motto. They would always say “All for one and one for all.”

The 11th chapter of Hebrews is well known as being referred to as the “Faith Chapter” because it includes the definition of faith in it’s 1st verse and goes on to list the patriarchs of the faith which is a common passage of scripture that we refer to as “The Hall of Faith.” But before that the writer of Hebrews makes a powerful statement that sets the foundation of our faith. This is what the writer penned:

“By that single offering, He did everything that needed to be done for everyone.” (Hebrews 10:14 MSG)

The writer of Hebrews is saying that Jesus did everything that would ever need to be done through His sacrifice. In other words, everything past, present, and future that you needed, need, or will need in life Jesus has taken care of. Jesus paid it all. Jesus provided it all. Jesus perfected it all.

For those of you who feel insufficient, inadequate, or incapable; take heart in the hope that, in Jesus, you are able and fully equipped to accomplish everything that God has purposed and created you for. In Jesus, you have all that you will ever need. In Jesus, you are all sufficient, more than adequate, and beyond capable for the task that is set before you.

I don’t know what season of life you are in or what the situation or circumstance you are in, but stand on the truth that through the sacrifice of Jesus you have what it takes to overcome whatever it is. You might not feel qualified for the position you are in, but through Jesus you are more than qualified. You might think that your resources have run dry, but through Jesus your supply will never run out. You might feel like you don’t have enough wisdom or knowledge to accomplish the goals ahead, but through Jesus you have the mind of Christ. You might think that you are too weak to carry the burdens that have been placed on you, but you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength.

No longer worry or stress out over your feelings of being inadequate. Live in the peace and hope that Jesus paid it all.
