Push Through

Growing up in Massachusetts, one of the things to do during the summer was to take a trip to Cape Cod. Not only for the ocean and the beaches, but also for enjoying a baseball game from the premier collegiate summer league, The Cape Cod Baseball League. I remember one trip with my grandfather, dad, and brother we ran into a significant amount of traffic where we had come to a dead standstill. It seemed like everyone was heading down to the Cape that particular day. For miles all we could see was a sea of red brake lights. It was so bad that we contemplated on turning around and going back home. When we came to the next exit, we had a decision to make. We could either get off on the exit, turn around, and head back home or we could push on through in order to reach our destination. We decided to keep on going. Unbeknownst to us, a few miles up ahead, the traffic was letting up and starting to move. Because of our decision to push through and not give up, we made it to the Cape and we were able to have a great time while we were down there.

Galatians 6:9 says “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9 NLT) I want to encourage whoever is reading this that you might be stuck in the traffic of life and what you’re looking at up ahead of you doesn’t seem promising, but whatever you do, don’t give up. You might not be able to see anything happening, but God wanted me to tell you that He sees a break in the traffic up ahead. Your breakthrough is coming if you don’t give in. Your blessing is coming if you don’t give out. Your healing is coming if you don’t give up. Your harvest is coming if you don’t quit. Whatever it is that your stuck in, PUSH THROUGH!
